2008 was definitely a Red Camera year for Vietnam. Out of six major feature films, five were shot on the Red Camera while only one was shot on 35mm. The four feature films in Vietnam that we worked on were 14 DAYS, Passport To Love, Saving The Death and Choi Voi. In addition, we provided Red Cameras and crew for a major Russian TV movie shot in Vietnam titled "History of the Pilot" directed by famous Russian director Aleksandr Buravsky. We feel very fortunate for being able to be a part of these groundbreaking projects and want to thank all of our client's who took the bold move to shoot RED.

This is the first feature film to begin shooting in Vietnam on RED. The production company behind this film, Chanh Phuong Phim, was very successful with their first feature "The Rebel" which was picked by the Weinstein company. We are currently filming in Ho Cho Minh City and will be going down south to the countryside of Soc Trang. The film is about a Vietnamese expatriate who spends his two-week vacation visiting his home country which has undergone remarkable economic reforms. His journey to discover his home country and reestablish his roots is met with obstacles that change his life.

Below is a brief intro: "Based on a true story, this film shares with us a decade in the lives of Jimmie Lewallen and his wife Carrie as they experience the joys of love and marriage alongside the tragedies of war and poverty (1939-1949). Jimmie and his friends, Bill Blair and Fred Harb, find escape from life's challenges in racing born out of hauling moonshine on warm North Carolina evenings and inadvertently become racing's earliest heroes.
